Governance
Our Corporate, Social & Environmental Responsibility (CSER) approach, direction, progress and implementation is overseen by the Group Executive Committee. They provide the Brakes Group Board with regular updates on key initiatives and policies.
Ian Goldsmith the group Chief Operating Officer chairs the Executive CSER forum and a member of the UK executive team sponsors each of our CSER strategic drivers or ‘pillars’. This top-level team is supported by a number of expert senior managers who work towards the achievement of various commitments and targets. Each of our five CSER pillars are overseen by a team with a broad representation across the various functions and business units.
The Group Executive Committee regularly reviews progress to ensure all activity is in line with company strategy and is meeting or exceeding agreed timelines for the various initiatives.
